Picturing the Arts
01:00 AM EDT on Friday, March 21, 2008

Gail Ahlers, of Ahlers Designs in Pawtucket, creates a work in her studio in the Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket. She draws with indelible ink on the surface of a pewter disk. The drawing, a floral design, will then be etched (by her) and a unique piece results, such as the unfinished piece in the foreground. "Each of these is a work of art that many corporations like to use as a custom corporate gift," she says.
