Concert: Prism of Praise Community Gospel Choir is holding a concert Saturday at 7 p.m. in Park Place Church, 71 Park Place. Offerings to benefit the Prism ministry will be accepted. For more information, call Park Place Church (401) 726-2800, or the choir at (401) 781-6420.

Benefit dinner: “Ben’s Dream Team” and the Friends of Cystic Fibrosis will sponsor its seventh annual pasta dinner to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Walter Gatchell Post, Fountain Street. Tickets are $8, adults; and $4 for children under age 10. Ben is a 19-year-old Pawtucket resident who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Tickets will be available at the door. May family breakfast: Heritage Park YMCA, 333 Roosevelt Ave., will host a May family breakfast Saturday from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. The YMCA will offer a multi-course breakfast cooked and served by the staff. Spaghetti supper and auction: Saint Luke’s Church, 670 Weeden St., will hold its annual Spaghetti Supper and Fun Auction Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, adults; seniors and children age 12 and under, $8; and free for children under 5. Attendees are asked to bring a fun item for the auction.

Concert: LeFoyer will host Magnolia and Slippery Sneakers in a dual performance of dance and lessons Sunday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at LeFoyer, 151 Fountain St. Admission is $15, free for children under 12. Refreshments will be available. Part of the proceeds will benefit the LeFoyer Educational Loan Trust.

Raffle fundraiser: The Pawtucket Fireworks Committee is sponsoring its annual calendar raffle fundraiser to raise money for July 3 fireworks. Prizes include gift certificates to restaurants and local businesses with the grand prize of two tickets to a Boston Red Sox game. The raffle will take place during the month of June and participants will have 30 chances to win with a prize picked each day. Should a participant win, their ticket goes back in for the next day’s drawing. Tickets are $10 each, and can be obtained by calling Ken McGill, (401) 475-0388.

Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for men’s and women’s singles and doubles tennis leagues. League play begins in early June. The fee for the men’s single league is $30 for residents and $40 for others. First year players must pay a $20 fee refundable at the completion of the season. The women’s registration fee is $25 for residents and $35 for others. Applications are available at the Parks and Recreation Slater Park office, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Parks and Recreation Division and Conway’s Bus Service are sponsoring a trip to Block Island June 3. The bus leaves from Lynch Arena at 8:45 a.m. Passengers will board the high speed ferry that leaves Point Judith at 10:30 a.m. arriving on Block Island at 11 a.m. for free time until 4 p.m. The bus will return to Pawtucket at approximately 6:30 p.m. The cost is $40. Tickets are available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Slater Park office.

Library Programs

Pawtucket Public Library, 13 Summer St., will host a mind-reading show with Rory Raven today at 7 p.m. in the library auditorium.

The Library Trustees will meet May 20 at 4 p.m. in the library’s conference room,.

Students in grades 4 to 12, and in introductory-level college courses, can visit the library’s Web site www.pawtucketlibrary.org, to get free help from qualified tutors. Live homework help is available every day from 2 to 9 p.m.

Club Note

Leon Mathieu Senior Center, 420 Main St., is celebrating May as Older Americans Month by having a special birthday party for members age 90 and over. The festivities will take place tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Blackstone Valley RSVP Jazz Band will perform. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call (401) 728-7582.

Religion

St. Joseph Church, 193 Walcott St., will host a healing Mass and service with the Rev. Robert Perron Sunday at 1:45 p.m.

St. Leo the Great Church, Central Avenue, will hold a Latin Mass Sunday at 5 p.m. St. Leo’s Deanery 1 young adult group, ages 20s to 40s, will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. at Slater Park tennis courts. The church will also host a May breakfast Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6, adults; and $4, children.
