Chapel Gallery: “Faces and Places from Turkey, II,” photographic works by Cemal Ekin, are on exhibit through July 30 in the Chapel Gallery of Mathewson Street United Methodist Church, 134 Mathewson St.

A Gallery Night talk by Ekin will be held tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. A concert by the Edgewood Ensemble will be at 7 and 7:45 p.m., and the labyrinth on the fourth floor will be open for meditative walking.

Gallery hours are Sunday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and by appointment.

Fish fry: Shiloh Gospel Temple Ministries is holding a fish fry tomorrow and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 66 Providence St. Delivery is free on two or more orders.

The meal includes fried fish, tossed salad, side dish, corn bread and soda. Side dishes include potato salad, pasta salad, fried rice and fried potatoes.

Dinners are $10; fish sandwiches, $4; extra side dishes, $3; sweet potato pie, $8 (whole), $1.50 (slice).

Prayer group: The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary Chapel, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, offers a prayer group for families on Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

Festival: Victory Assembly of God, 321 Veazie St., will hold a summer festival for the community on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be community resources, hot dogs, soda, baby clothes, groceries, haircuts, drawings for bicycles and other giveaways, music all day and a Kids Zone.

All are welcome.

Open discussion: The public is invited to join in a conversation with the Rev. Duane Clinker on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Beneficent Church social room, 300 Weybosset St. The topic is “Thy Kingdom Come: Politics and Radical Faith.”

The event is part of a series of election year conversations sponsored by the Southeast New England Program of the American Friends Service Committee.

Future conversations are scheduled:

•Aug. 26 — The War Comes Home Part 1: PTSD, in Westport;

•Sept. 23 — The War Comes Home Part 2: The Costs of War, in Westerly;

•Oct. 23 — Immigration, in Providence.

These events are conversations. The speaker opens the topic and those in attendance join the discussion.

Classic cars: The second annual “Blessing of the Classics” will be held at St. Ann’s Feast on Saturday, July 26, from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the corner of Charles and Hawkins streets.

A blessed St. Christopher visor clip and dash plaque will be given to all cars.

The Italian food tent will feature homemade eggplant parmigiana, sausages, onion and pepper sandwiches, meatballs, pasta, hot dogs, hamburgers, fried dough and homemade desserts and bread.

Music will be from the ’50s and ’60s.

Prayer Ministry Team: Allen African Methodist Episcopal Church, 163 Bellevue Ave., holds a prayer ministry on the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m.
