The Davisville Free Library, North Kingstown, will hold a book and bake sale on Saturdayat the library, 481 Davisville Rd., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Thursday, Paul Haggerty will give a talk about his World War II experiences at 6 p.m.
Both events are open to the public.
Library hours are Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 7 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Rhode Island International Film Festival Encore Film Series will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Courthouse Center for the Arts, 3841 Kingstown Rd., West Kingston.
The eight short films will begin at 7:30 p.m.; the longest is 17 minutes. Admission is $5.
