Easton's Beach extends season beyond Labor Day
02:10 PM EDT on Thursday, August 28, 2008
Labor Day doesn’t have to mean the end of beach days. Easton’s Beach, in Newport, is extending its season, and will be open the weekend after Labor Day, Sept. 6 and 7.
Facilities will be open for use: restrooms, showers, the food concession stand and Rosie’s Beach store. Lifeguards will also be on duty, and the carousel will continue to spin.
Parking will be available for $10 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and families can rent bathhouses for $20 a day. Other amenities will be available. Call the beach at 845-5810 for more information.
