NARRAGANSETT — A Narragansett man apparently shot himself by accident at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday, suffering an injury that was not life-threatening, the Narragansett police said.
The 57-year-old man, who was not identified, was driven to Narragansett Fire Department station 2 by his wife, Detective Lt. Gerald Driscoll said in a news release.
The man was then taken to South County Hospital, where he was being evaluated last night, Driscoll said.
Driscoll could not be reached immediately, and the police provided no further information last night.
