Tennis lessons: Tennis lessons taught by Russ Wyatt, Stephen Mook and Jordan Goldson through the South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department will run July 28 through Aug. 20. For information or to register, call 789-9301.

Surfing program: The Narragansett Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring its annual “Shred Betties” series of surfing lessons each Thursday afternoon, through Aug. 7. For information, call 782-0658.

Pool open: The Narragansett Parks and Recreation Department’s outdoor pool, at 170 Clarke Rd., Narragansett, is open for free use by town residents Monday through Friday for open swimming from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and an adult swim from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday the pool is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. For information, call 782-0658.

Fun runs: The YMCA is sponsoring “Summer Fun Runs” each Wednesday through Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at URI’s Mackal Field House, off of Keaney Road in Kingston.

The one-, three-, and five-mile runs are open to all levels of runners of all ages, and admission is free. For information, call 783-3900.

The Westerly Track and Athletic Club is sponsoring a series of “Fun Runs” each Wednesday night at 6, through Aug. 20, beginning from the Pleasant View Inn, 65 Atlantic Ave., in the Misquamicut section of Westerly.

Participants may choose from 1/4-mile and 3/10-mile children’s races, and scenic runs of one, two or three miles for adults. For information, call Nick Bottone at 377-2306.

Yoga class: The South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring yoga chi-gong classes, presented by the Yoga School of South County at the Peace Dale Office Building, 1058 Kingstown Rd., Peace Dale, Aug. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. Fees are $18 per session, or $45 for all three. A series of free yoga classes will meet from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday, through Aug. 30, at Casey Farm, on Boston Neck Road in Saunderstown during its weekly Coastal Growers Market.
