Pet walk: The Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island’s monthly pet walk will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Farm, off of Pond Street in Wakefield.
The fee is $10, free for pets and children accompanied by an adult. Pet owners must show proof of rabies vaccination, and bring water.
Dance lessons: Dance lessons are conducted each Wednesday at The Towers, 35 Ocean Rd., Narragansett, with Swing and ballroom dancing from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by Latin dance at 7, beginners’ tango at 8, and intermediate tango at 9.
Admission is $12 for one lesson, and $4 for each additional class. For information, call 782-2597.Sports leagues: The South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the following drop-in sports leagues, for adults, at the Peace Dale Elementary School:
Co-ed basketball, Monday and Wednesday, 8 to 9 p.m.; and over-35 basketball, Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.; and volleyball, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Over-35 games are also played Wednesday at Curtis Corner Middle School. The fee is 50 cents a game for basketball, $1 for volleyball.
A men’s basketball league plays Thursday and Sunday night at Old Mountain Field, on Kingstown Road in Wakefield.
