Middletown police Detective Bill Macioci and Portsmouth Lt. Steven C. Cofield teach motorcycle riding to members of five police departments. Officers from Newport, Middletown, Warwick, Pawtucket and Bristol trained at Sachuest Beach parking lot yesterday. The 80-hour course will earn certification by the Police Officers Commission on Standards and Training. At top, Bob Spellman, of Newport, leads the way.
