LITTLE COMPTON—A film crew descended this week on Stone House, the historic inn that is undergoing an extensive renovation.
The crew will be filming a segment for the show Renovation Nation, an hour-long program that airs on the cable channel Planet Green and focuses on environmentally friendly building projects. The show is hosted by Steve Thomas, who appeared for many years on the PBS show This Old House.
Craig Pishotti and Zachary Miller, the local owners of Stone House, have been directing a restoration of the inn, which was built in 1854 and added this year to the National Register of Historic Places. The owners are “balancing the preservation and renovation of the property with sustainable development and green building standards,” according to a press release issued by their publicist. The inn is slated to open by next summer.
The TV crew was expected to be filming at the inn yesterday and today.
Pishotti and Miller are founding partners of development and management company Goosewing Hotels & Resorts, whose historic preservation projects include The Weekapaug Inn, in Westerly, and others sites in New England and New York City.
