Lincoln Middle School will host a back-to-school orientation and barbecue, Sunday, sponsored by the school’s PACT organization. Students will receive their school schedule, team assignments, and school-supply list. The event will also include food, raffles and a silent auction. The schedule is: grade six, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; grade seven, 2 to 3 p.m.; and grade eight, 4 to 5 p.m.
Lincoln High School will hold its annual Freshmen Roar, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. in front of the school. Sponsored by the School Improvement Team and the PAC (Parents and Community Together) the Roar is a chance for student and parents to tour the building, meet staff, sign up for activities, and receive their scheduled. The Family Literacy Center’s summer reading program will end with the annual Back to School Bash. Students with completed reading charts must return them by Aug. 21 to receive their invitation to the Bash. The Bash will be held Aug. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include a barbecue, games, music, and ice cream. For more information, call (401) 762-4319.
