Christmas on the Hill: Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland St., will host its annual holiday bazaar, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include handmade items, books, and food. For more information, call (401) 724-7954.
Pasta supper: Boy Scout Troop 711 Albion will hold a pasta supper Nov. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Ambrose Church, School Street. Pasta, meatballs, salad, and garlic bread, along with a bakeshop table will be available. Tickets are $8 adults, $5 children age 5 to 10, and free for children age 5 and under.
The Bell will Ring for a Healthier Planet: The tower bell of Christ Church, 1643 Lonsdale Ave., will ring out Nov. 23 at noon to support a healthier planet. The bell will ring 350 times, 350 parts per million (ppm) is the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that our planet can sustain without causing cataclysmic and irreversible damage to life as we know it. The level of CO2 in our atmosphere is currently 385 and climbing. To learn more about the science behind this number, visit www.350.org. For more information, contact the Reverend Scott A. Tree lighting: The 24th annual lighting of the Fairlawn Christmas tree will be held Nov. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nathanael Greene School, Smithfield Avenue. Festivities begin at 5 p.m., with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving by fire truck at 5:30 p.m. This year’s mystery guest will arrive to light the Fairlawn tree at 6:30 p.m. After the tree lighting children can visit Santa. There will also be free horse drawn hay rides for children and free hot chocolate. The rain date is Dec. 1.
