Smoke rises from Metals Recycling, in Johnston, on Sunday after a fire broke out in stacks of junked cars. Firefighters from Johnston, Cranston, North Providence and Providence responded to the fire, which produced columns of acrid smoke that could be seen for miles. There were no reports of injuries.
