Chocolate sundae: Pocasset Bay Manor, 12 Old Pocasset Lane, will hold a Chocolate Sundae to raise money for A Wish Come True. The event will be held May 18 from 2 to 4 p.m., and will include entertainment, a balloon artist, chocolate samples, a chocolate fountain for dipping, and baked goods with a chocolate theme. Tickets are $10. If you would like to donate a chocolate item, call Jennifer Cipalone, Resident Programs manager, (401) 421-6610.
Golf Tournament: A Memorial Cancer Golf Tournament benefiting Johnston’s Relay for Life through The American Cancer Society will be held May 31 at noon at Putnam Country Club in Putnam, Conn. The cost is $100, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, and a souvenir bag. Lunch and registration will begin at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Johnston’s Relay for Life will be held June 6 and 7 at Johnston War Memorial Park. Library Programs
Marian J. Mohr Library, 1 Memorial Avenue, will host origami for teens May 15 at 3 p.m. Learn the ancient Japanese art of paper folding.
A manga and anime program for teens will be held May 22 at 3 p.m.
The library will host a Reader’s Lair for children in grades K-2 May 27 at 6:30 p.m. The group will read Martin Bridge Blazing Ahead, by Jessica Kerrin in two separate stories. Copies of the book are available at the youth services desk. Pizza and beverages will be served.

Amie J. Forand Tenants’ Association will meet May 12 at 1 p.m. in Piccoli Community Hall. Bingo will be held May 13 at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited.
