Summer concerts: Foster summer concerts will be held at the Foster Fairgrounds, behind 181 Howard Hill Rd., at 6:30 pm. Concerts are free, and open to the public, but they will pass the hat. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Refreshments will be available. The schedule is: tomorrow, Star Creek Ceili Band; and Aug. 14, Big Show String Band.

Concert: Village Harmony will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Peeptoad Coffee House, North Foster Baptist Church, 81 East Killingly Rd. The suggested admission is $8; seniors and students, $5.

Library Programs

Tyler Free Library, Moosup Valley Road, will host the Book Buddies program on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., July 7 to Aug. 4. The program is for students in grades 5 to 12 to read to children entering kindergarten through grade 2.

Book Buddies will also be held at Woody Lowden Recreation Center on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. from July 8 to Aug. 5. Registration is being held at the libraries.

The library will host Reading is a Picnic, July 9, 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. Pack a lunch, the library will provide a drink and dessert. Stories, songs and crafts will be followed by a picnic.
