Ledge Ends Learning Center will host a discussion on tick safety and Lyme disease prevention Sunday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. at Briggs-Boesch Farm, 830 South Rd., East Greenwich. Dr. Michael Poshkus will lead the discussion. Poshkus is an attending infectious disease specialist at Rhode Island Hospital, and a clinical assistant professor at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. The lecture is free, but there will be a collection for Ledge Ends Learning Center. To register, e-mail ledgelearning@hotmail.com or call (401) 884-5118.
