The Aphasia Conversation Group at Sargent Rehabilitation Center, 800 Quaker Lane, Warwick, will meet Tuesday, July 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendance is limited only to individuals with aphasia. The facilitator is Lucia Watson, a speech-language pathologist. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month. For more information, call (401) 886-6600.
A seminar on emotions and Alzheimer’s disease will be held Thursday, July 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Greenwich Farms, 75 Minnesota Ave., Warwick. “Emotional Intelligence and Alzheimer’s: Utilizing and Understanding Emotions” will be presented by Ron Bowen, executive director of The Village at Kensington Place, in Meriden, Conn. The TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group meets every Thursday at Women & Infants Center, 1050 Main St., East Greenwich.
