School news: Juniors and seniors at East Greenwich High School may register for school parking permits Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25 and 26, from 8 a.m. to noon at the School Resource Office at the high school. Students should bring their driver’s license and car registration.

Auditions for the Academy Players’ production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25 and 26, at 7 p.m. in Swift Gym, Peirce Street. The play will be staged Oct. 24-26 and Nov. 1-2.
