Registration for graffiti contest: Registration is being held for the seventh-annual Great Graffiti Contest sponsored by the Town of East Greenwich and the East Greenwich Housing Authority. The contest will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on London Street. The groups will be divided into three categories: 10 and under, 11 to 16, and 17 and up. Spray paint, masks, goggles and gloves will be provided for all contestants over 10, and chalk for the younger children. A parent or guardian must accompany all young children and sign a permission form. Judging will begin at 1:30 p.m., and a block party will follow. To register, call (401) 885-2610, ext. 11.
