Paul Hoffman will perform a free musical program, “Love Songs from the Swing Era,” on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at the East Greenwich Free Library, 82 Peirce St.
Registration is being held for the winter/spring sessions of preschool story times. The schedule is Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., 2year olds; Tuesdays, 1 p.m., 3- 5 year olds; Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m., 3- 23 month olds; Thursdays, 10:30 a.m., 3-5 year olds. To register, call 401-884-9510, ext. 27.
The Book Club will meet Monday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. to discuss Three Cups of Tea, by Greg Mortenson.
If anyone is interested in working for the 2010 U.S. Census, a census worker supervisor will be at the library to administer basic tests and accept applications on the following dates: Wednesday, Jan. 14, 6 to 8 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 15, 2 to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To register, call 1-866-861-2010.
