01:00 AM EST on Monday, November 24, 2008
Homeless sleep-out: The youth group, together with the Board of Missions, at Four Corners Community Chapel will hold a sleep-out to draw attention to the plight of the homeless. This event will take place on the front lawn of the chapel, 200 Angell Rd., beginning at dusk on Saturday, Nov. 29, and will conclude Sunday, Nov. 30, with worship services at 10 a.m.
The youth group is asking that people come by the chapel on the night of the sleep-out to drop off items to be included in emergency backpacks which will be given to various homeless shelters. Items needed include winter hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, warm socks, baby wipes, lip balm, soap, shampoo, disposable razors, hard candies, deodorant, combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, pencils, small note books, and fast food coupons.
