NARRAGANSETT — The police arrested two Coventry men Monday in connection with a scuffle in which two men at a party were allegedly attacked with a fold-open razor blade knife.
Ryan M. Noel, 20, of 58 Marshall Circle, Coventry, is charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and is alleged to have cut the two victims with the knife.
Det. Lt. William McGovern said the scuffle at 35 Camden Rd. revolved around a four-week-old pit bull, which someone accused Noel of trying to steal.
McGovern said Noel cut one man on the ear and neck and tore the clothes across his chest, and cut another man on the forearm, sending the second victim to the hospital.
Noel was released on $10,000 bail with surety following an appearance in District Court, Wakefield, and was ordered to have no contact with the victims, the police said. He is due back in court on May 27 for a felony screening conference.
Also arrested was Sokoll Un, 22, of 15 Rejane St., Coventry. Un is charged with one count of simple assault, for allegedly kicking someone, McGovern said. He was released on $1,000 bail with surety following an appearance in District Court, Wakefield, and was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He is due back in court for a pretrial conference on May 20.
