The Charlestown Senior Center, in Ninigret Park, Route 1A, Charlestown, will conduct a session of the AARP’s “55 Alive” Driver Safety Program, Dec. 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

Program on hurricane preparedness

Charlestown council cleans house at swear-in meeting
CHARLESTOWN -- Within 25 minutes of being sworn in last night, the Town Council fired the town administrator, appointed two assistant administrators to run the town, called for a search committee, changed solicitors and agreed to try to revive the Tri-Town Council.
