Riverboat Tours: The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council has announced that the Blackstone Valley Explorer will remain in Central Falls through the end of the season. Sunday public tours run hourly at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. from the Central Falls Landing, at Broad Street and Madeira Avenue. For reservations, call (401) 724-2200 or visit www.rivertourblackstone.com
Fundraiser: St. Joseph Church, High Street, will be the site of a fundraiser for Magdalena Kudra, a member of St. Joseph Church and a student at Rhode Island College, who is recovering from cancer surgery. The event will be held Oct. 11 from 6 to 11 p.m. Donation is $25, and includes a hot and cold buffet and music by the Stop Band. The fundraiser is to help the family defray the cost of medical expenses. Tickets can be purchased after the Saturday 4 p.m. and Sunday 7:30 and 11 a.m. Masses. Centennial Anniversary: The Holy Rosary Society at St. Joseph Church, 391 High St., will celebrate its Centennial Anniversary, Sunday.
