Church damaged in blaze

CENTRAL FALLS — Fire damaged three rooms in the back of St. George’s Episcopal Church early yesterday but was quickly brought under control. No one was hurt.
The fire was reported at 2:39 a.m. Four engines from Central Falls, two from Pawtucket, two from Lincoln and one from Saylesville responded to the Clinton Street church, according to Battalion Chief George Aissis. The firefighters left at 7 a.m.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
