Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library, 100 Tinkham Lane, will close at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, and will open at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 28. The library will be closed Thanksgiving day.

The library will hold a Food for Fines Amnesty Dec. 1 to 13. The library will waive the fine on each overdue item that is returned accompanied by a non-perishable, unexpired food item during this time. Food items will be donated to local food banks.

Monday Movie Matinees will be held Dec. 1, 8 and 15. Movies will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Master Gardener Lee Menard will hold a holiday wreath and garland making workshop, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Participants may choose which type of decoration to make with materials provided, or they may bring whatever types of greens or other materials they specifically wish to incorporate into their creations. Registration is required.

Friends of the Library will hold a holiday pot luck, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in finding out more about the group is invited to attend.
