Take a Step Back in Time: The 7th annual Victorian Holiday celebration will be held in the center of the Historic Village, Nov. 29 from 3 to 8:30 p.m. The Downtown Pascoag Neighborhood Association has selected “Let the Bells Ring” as this year’s theme in dedication to the men and women from Burrillville who are serving overseas in the Armed Forces. The event will include children’s face painting, a life-sized nutcracker, costumed carolers, tours of historic homes and churches by local residents and the Burrillville Historical Society, a gingerbread house contest at Overlook Nursing Home, donut decorating at Dunkin Donuts, Christmas tales at Pascoag Library, and cookie decorating at Bolie’s Chowder Shack. All event sites will be connected by a small bus donated by the Town. At dusk, the fire truck parade will kick off and conclude with the arrival of Santa Claus. At 7 p.m., all events will pause as area churches, businesses, and other participants ring bells of all types in honor of Burrillville’s servicemen and women.
Santa Calling Program: Burrillville Parks and Recreation will host their “Santa Calling Program” Dec. 11 through 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. for children in grades 2 and under. Registration forms will be sent home throughout the Burrillville School System during the week of Nov. 21 and are available online at www.burrillville.org, as well as the Parks and Recreation office, 92 North Main St., Pascoag. Pre-registration is required by Dec. 5. For more information, call (401) 568-9470.
