This tree, struck by lightning yesterday afternoon, fell across Hope Street, in Bristol, just north of Gooding Avenue. A large branch blocked all but the northbound breakdown lane and caused a traffic tie-up. Another storm photo is on Page D4. The storm also brought a waterspout to Barrington Town Beach.
