Barrington plans three primary polls
01:00 AM EDT on Wednesday, September 3, 2008
BARRINGTON — The eight voting districts for Tuesday’s primary election have been consolidated into three polling places, according to the Board of Canvassers’ office.
Residents who usually vote at Barrington High School and the Sowams School will instead be casting their ballots at Primrose Hill School, 60 Middle Highway.
Voters who typically go to the Nayatt School and St. John’s Church should go to the polling place at the Barrington Middle School, 261 Middle Highway.
And District 8 residents, who usually vote at the Hampden Meadows School, must vote at the Senior Center at the Barrington Public Library on County Road.
The arrangement is the same as it was for the presidential primary in March.
There are no town office primary races.
All eight polling places will be open for the November election, said Town Clerk Lorraine Derois.
In addition, people who are not registered will be able to vote for president and vice president at Town Hall.
