BARRINGTON — Christopher J. Travis, 20, of 10 Grassy Plain Rd., faces misdemeanor marijuana possession charges after being arrested Friday night near the sewer pumping station on County Road.

Travis’ gold Infiniti was parked at the pumping station when Patrolman Marc Pimentel stopped to inquire what Travis was doing at the station. Pimentel smelled marijuana, asked Travis if he had any in the vehicle, and Travis said he had an ounce.

Officers reportedly found a small amount of the drug in the center console and a larger amount in the glove box. He is due in District Court tomorrow.
