BARRINGTON — The police said yesterday two other teens will be heading to Family Court after two overnight sprees in which several cars were broken into earlier this month.
Both are from Barrington. Two others were arrested last week.
The new case involves a 16-year-old who is being ordered to Family Court, accused of receiving stolen goods. A hearing date has not been set, said Detective Joseph Andreozzi.
The fourth youth, 17, will be presented to Family Court as a probation violator, he said.
Arrested last week was a 14-year-old, who was also not named by the police because of his age. He originally went to the Training School but is now in home confinement after being charged with four counts of larceny over $500 and one count of larceny under $500.
In addition, 18-year-old Nickolas A. Russo of 116 Metropolitan Park Drive, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods.
The police said they are still looking for belongings that were reported stolen during the spree, in which about 25 cars — all of them unlocked — were broken into on each of two nights.
Two laptop computers, one a high-end MacBook Pro, a cell phone, a Blackberry, a wireless mouse, a Sprint Mobile broadband card, and two digital cameras were initially recovered.
The thieves were caught after they sold the merchandise to other teens and a grandmother began making inquiries because her grandson was suddenly in possession of a Blackberry phone.
