Series at Temple Sinai
Rabbi Peter Stein and Professor Arthur Urbano, of Providence College, will lead a five-week series, “The Early Rabbis and the Church Fathers” at Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Ave., Cranston. Birthday appreciation services
The congregation of Shiloh Gospel Temple Ministries will hold services in honor of Pastor Eric E. Perry Jan. 14 to 18 at 7:30 p.m. nightly at the Greater Abundant Life Deliverance Church, 1532-34 Broad St., Cranston. The theme is “Man on a mission — running with the vision!”
Speakers include Michael Boone, pastor and founder of New Life Deliverance Ministries in St. Stephen, S.C., and Pastor Alice Bridges, wife of Bishop Robert Bridges. Together, the Bridges pastor Greater Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle in Brockton, Mass.

Evensong in Wickford
St. Paul Episcopal Church in Wickford will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with a choral evensong, presented by the choir, tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Old Narragansett Church, on Church Lane in Wickford.

St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 35 Lower College Rd, Kingston, will conduct an adult education video series, entitled “Living the Questions,” meeting at 9 a.m. tomorrow when the topic will be “The Prophetic Jesus”; and Jan. 18, with “Evil, Suffering and a God of Love.”

The seventh annual Heavyweight New Year’s Gospel Concert will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. at God’s Family Church, 1525 Broad St., Providence. Performers from Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Connecticut and Rhode Island will be featured. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance at $15 at the door.
