On Monday, Catholics, Anglicans and Orthodox Christians will celebrate the Nativity of the Mother of God, or birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Orthodox Christians begin their observance tomorrow night.
On Friday, members of the Jain Digamber sect will end their Das Laxana Festival, which began on Wednesday. Zoroastrians will begin their six-day seasonal festival, Paitishahem Gahambar.
