After dinner, Robert Sylvain and the Rev. George Craft pray in the chapel at Mathewson House on Providence's East Side. Sylvain is director of the house, home to four male Opus Dei members and a meeting place for other men.
PROVIDENCE — They came from different churches and different cultures. But they bowed their heads together to pray for unity among their faiths as nearly 200 people lined the long pews at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for the Rhode Island State Council of Churches’ annual ecumenical service Sunday.
