Youkilis’ shave will be a big hit for kids
01:00 AM EST on Tuesday, November 13, 2007
BOSTON — Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis is about to get a close shave.
The Gold Glove winner will have his signature goatee cut off today, all in the name of charity.
Gillette is donating $5,000 to Youkilis’ newly formed organization, Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids, in exchange for a shave that will be performed at the Cask ’n Flagon next to Fenway Park.
The charity is dedicated to rallying local and corporate support for groups focused on the health and well-being of children in New England and in Youkilis’ hometown of Cincinnati.
