Fans invited to rally for departing Sox today

BOSTON -- Before boarding their plane to California, the Red Sox will host a 2008 Postseason Rally, this afternoon at Fenway.
Hosted by NESN play-by-play commentator Don Orsillo, NESN on-field reporter Heidi Watney and NESN studio analyst Lou Merloni, the rally will be broadcast live on NESN and then be replayed at 8 p.m.
Video tributes and montages to the 2008 Red Sox will be shown on the center-field video board, with Roxbury band Quest providing live entertainment.
Gate D at Fenway will open at 3:30 p.m., with the first 2,500 fans who enter receiving a coupon for a free hot dog and soda.
