ANAHEIM -- Postgame tidbits . . .
---
J.D. Drew was the A.L. Player of the Month. Kevin Youkilis seems intent on matching him for July.
Youkilis hit a two-run homer Friday night, his third homer in the last five games. It was Youkilis' 16th homer of the season, matching his total for all of last season.
In the last five games, Youkilis has 12 RBI. He has 13 RBI over the last seven games and is hitting .365 over his last 27 games.
---
Manny Ramirez has 12 career hits over Angels starter John Lackey and five of them -- including one Friday night -- have been home runs . . . Dustin Pedroia, who had a first-inning single and an third-inning double, has hit safely in 20 of his last 21 games. He has multihit games in five of his last six contests and in 18 of his last 28 games . . . With the game decided, Terry Francona rested Jason Varitek in the bottom of the seventh.
