Timlin set for PawSox rehab work
07:48 AM EDT on Thursday, June 26, 2008
BOSTON - Reliever Mike Timlin (knee tendinitis) will make a rehab appearance for the PawSox tonight at McCoy Stadium. The right-hander will throw one inning.
“I think it will be great for him,” said Boston manager Terry Francona, referring to the minor-league rehab. “I think it will be great for him to pitch a little bit. Sometimes you can take advantage of some time to make something better.”
In 24 games for Boston this season, Timlin is 3-3 with a 7.06 ERA.
