Pedroia extends hot streak
07:25 AM EDT on Monday, June 23, 2008
BOSTON - Almost lost in the excitement yesterday was the fact Dustin Pedroia had a tremendous game. The Sox second baseman provided a four-hit game, the second time he’s accomplished that this season, and now has multiple hits in three of his last four games. He’s hitting .436 with 2 homers, 5 doubles, 3 RBI and 7 runs in his last 10 games to raise his average from .260 to .282. He also set a career-high with his eighth stolen base of the season yesterday.
