Schilling apparently suffers setback in his rehab
07:03 AM EDT on Tuesday, June 17, 2008
PHILADELPHIA -- Curt Schilling, who struggled through a throwing session Friday in Cincinnati, apparently has had a setback in his attempt to come back from a serious shoulder injury.
Manager Terry Francona, who described Schilling's session Friday night as "blah," rather somberly sitestepped a question this afternoon after the next step for the veteran right-hander.
"He's stuck for the moment," said Francona. "We'll have to get with him the next day or so and figure out where we need to go (in his rehab)."
The chances of Schilling being able to come back to help the Sox this year were thin anyway. The question now: Have they gotten even thinner?
