Cora bothered by elbow 'twinge'
08:02 AM EDT on Friday, April 11, 2008
BOSTON - Due to third baseman Mike Lowell’s injury, utility infielder Alex Cora went out earlier yesterday afternoon to take some ground balls at third. During his fungo work he felt a “twinge” in his right elbow and was clearly in pain.
After a few moments of attempting to shake it off, he made one throw before leaving the field.
He went to the trainer’s room and received ice treatment. Manager Terry Francona said he’s hoping this is nothing.
