Timlin still sidelined by finger problem

LOS ANGELES - Mike Timlin, inactive in Tokyo because of a right ring finger injury, has yet to throw and probably won’t see action this weekend.

It remains a possibility that the Sox could put him on the disabled list this weekend, and backdate him so that he could be available in Toronto next weekend.
“It’s up to the doctors [to determine] when I can throw,” Timlin said.
Manager Terry Francona added, “I don’t think he’s out of the [DL] woods yet. We need to see where we are with him this weekend.”
