Beckett tosses on the side
07:19 AM EDT on Thursday, March 20, 2008
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Josh Beckett, who will not travel to Japan due to an ailing back, threw a side session at the minor-league complex yesterday. The right-hander is scheduled to play long toss today, with another bullpen session tomorrow. If all goes well, there’s a possibility he could make a rehab start for the PawSox on Sunday.
