Red Sox scout arrested
08:07 AM EST on Wednesday, March 5, 2008
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Jesse Levis, a pro scout for the Red Sox, was arrested Sunday night and charged with two felonies for lewd and lascivious behavior in the presence of children under 16.
“We’re looking into it,” Red Sox spokesman John Blake said. “We take these things very seriously. We won’t have any further comment until we have the ability to look into all the facts.”
Levis played parts of nine seasons in the big leagues as a catcher with Cleveland and Milwaukee. He joined the Sox scouting staff in November 2006.
