Wednesday brings a new test for Colon
08:09 AM EST on Wednesday, March 5, 2008
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Following Bartolo Colon’s second bullpen session today, the Sox will determine whether to have him throw another bullpen or face hitters in a live batting practice session.
“He’s really chomping at the bit,” said Francona, “but we want the progression to be the same as anybody else.”
The Sox have yet to decide whether to take Colon with them to Japan, but expect that he might make a start when the Sox play three exhibition games in Los Angeles after returning from Tokyo.
