New Saturday Programs at Select netWORKri One-Stops
In response to public need, netWORKri career counselors will offer special Saturday morning job-matching programs at select netWORKri one-stop centers this summer. The Saturday programs include continuous workshops and one-on-one counseling in the areas of job placement, job search, résumé development and interviewing skills. The netWORKri one-stop system is overseen by the R.I . Department of Labor and Training.
Programs are scheduled from 9 am to noon as follows:
• Saturday, Providence netWORKri Career Center, One Reservoir Ave., (401) 462-8900
• July 19, Pawtucket netWORKri Reemployment Center, 175 Main St.; (401) 722-3100
• July 26, West Warwick netWORKri Career Center, 1330 Main St.; (401) 828-8382
• July 26, Woonsocket netWORKri Reemployment Center, 219 Pond St.; (401) 235-1201
No preregistration is necessary for these free programs. Directions to the individual centers are available on the netWORKri Web site, www.netWORKri.org/centers.htm. The netWORKri centers are also open during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional Saturday programming may be scheduled in the future, depending on demand.
Director of Labor and Training Sandra M. Powell says, “By offering expanded job matching services to the public, netWORKri can reach more unemployed Rhode Islanders in its efforts to connect job seekers with meaningful career opportunities.”
