The CBS Scene Restaurant and Bar, a combination restaurant, entertainment center and broadcast facility at Patriot Place, the massive development being built adjacent to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, is looking for workers. The restaurant, which will employ about 165 people, is holding a job fair at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, tomorrow through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

CBS Scene general manager Michael Seznec said the venue is looking for bartenders, cooks, hosts, servers, stewards, management personnel and more. “We’re looking for every kind of restaurant job, and some retail as well,” he said.

Seznec said job candidates can just show up at the job fair, but he recommends calling first (1-800-594-7036) to make an appointment. That way, he said, candidates can be assured they will be able to talk to someone from the restaurant. Candidates can also send resumés in advance to cbsscene@patriot-place.com .

CBS Scene is scheduled to open the weekend of Sept. 6 and 7, which Sezec said coincides with the first Patriots home game of the season.

“Restaurant experience is a plus,” Seznec said. “But we’re looking for great people. If you have the right attitude, the right personality, and a genuine need to serve people, then you’re the kind of person we want to hire.”

Asked about the state of the job market at the moment, Seznec said he’d have a better answer after this week’s job fair. “We hope to get great people to help this place come alive,” he said.

CBS Scene will be a 15,000-square-foot facility on three levels. Seznec said the building will include two levels of dining, with outdoor terraces, and one level devoted to function rooms and a retail store offering CBS-themed merchandise and clothing. CBS Scene will also include working broadcast facilities that can be used by the CBS network as well as the broadcast company’s Boston-area TV and radio affiliates. “This is more than just another theme restaurant,” said Seznec.

Seznec also pointed to CBS Scene’s prime location, close enough to Gillette to see into the stadium from some of the tables. “You feel like part of the action,” he said. (Patriots officials, though, noted that patrons at CBS Scene won’t actually be able to watch games from inside the restaurant.)

Not surprisingly, CBS Scene Restaurant and Bar will be something of a shrine to the CBS network. The venue will include memorabilia and a CBS “Heritage Wall,” which will celebrate the 75-year history of the network with video projections, graphics and artifacts. What’s more, clips from classic CBS shows, such as I Love Lucy, will be shown on 130 flat-screen, high-definition TVs spread throughout the restaurant. There’s even a circular stairway, designed in the CBS eye motif, where viewers can see even more CBS programming.

CBS Scene is part of the massive, 1.3-million-square-foot Patriot Place development being built by the Kraft family, owners of the Patriots, around Gillette Stadium. When completed, the project will include more than 70 retail and dining options, plus a hotel, a 14-screen movie theater, a 500-seat live entertainment center, and a sports-medicine center.

Patriot Place spokesman Jeff Cournoyer said Patriot Place will provide 2,000 full-time and part-time jobs when it’s finished. The last project currently in the works is the 150-room Renaissance Hotel & Spa, scheduled to be completed next spring. In a press release, Patriot Place said that another restaurant, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, will also begin hiring for their Patriot Place location beginning tomorrow , and will have a hiring trailer stationed at Patriot Place for two weeks.

Cournoyer said TeamOps, which provides security services for Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place, will hold a job fair on July 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. For information, call (508) 549-0015 or go to the Web site at www.teamops.com.
