The Bryant University Graduate School will sponsor an information session on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for those interested in learning more about pursuing master’s degrees in business (MBA), taxation (MST) and professional accountancy (MPAc). The program will be held in the Unistructure’s room MRC 4, where participants will be able to meet with graduate faculty, staff and program advisers. The Community College of Rhode Island is offering subsidized tuition rates for students interested in entering the lead abatement field as a lead abatement worker, supervisor or contractor.
The college’s Center for Workforce and Community Education will offer the 40-hour Lead Supervisor/Contractor Initial Training at a cost of $75 per student and the 24-hour Lead Worker Initial Training at a cost of $60 per student for unemployed or low-income individuals who are receiving state assistance. These classes are offered at a significant discount — 84 percent and 80 percent, respectively — from the regular registration fee.
The Lead Supervisor/Contractor Initial Training will be offered Feb. 10-26 in Warwick and April 7-23 in Providence. The Lead Worker Initial Training will be offered in Spanish from March 2-14 in Providence and in English from March 23 to April 4 in Warwick.
