NEW ASSOCIATE: Alyce Wright, of Newport, has joined Lila Delman Real Estate as a sales associate. A graduate of Harvard University, she previously worked for 10 years in the financial services industry at Morgan Stanley in London, England, and Goldman Sachs, in New York and London. She is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She will work primarily from the Newport office of Lila Delman.
STONE HOUSE: Cameras and crew were on-site at Stone House in Little Compton last Thursday and Friday to film a segment for Renovation Nation, an hour-long program focusing on environmentally conscious building, renovation and reconstruction, which airs on Planet Green, a 24-hour eco-lifestyle television network operated by the Discovery Channel.
Renovation Nation highlights nationwide, green construction projects allowing viewers to witness, in real time, the building and renovation of eco-friendly homes and businesses. The program is hosted by Steve Thomas, most recognizable from his many years on This Old House.
Little Compton residents and Stone House owners, Craig Pishotti and Zachary Miller, have been directing an extensive and historically accurate renovation of the hotel, originally built in 1854 and set to open for the 2009 season. The Stone House owners are balancing the preservation and renovation of this property with sustainable development and green building standards.
