FRIEDMAN
AGENT OF THE MONTH: Celeste Fournier has been named Agent of the Month for the sixth time at RE/MAX Realty Group, Seekonk, Mass. She has been recognized for her professional achievements as top listing and sales agent last month.
NEW AGENT: Leonard Friedman has joined the real estate office of Coleman Realtors, 135 Elmgrove Ave., Providence. He has been an agent for eight years, specializing in property on the East and West Sides of Providence, Edgewood and Pawtuxet Village.
KENT WASHINGTON REALTOR OF THE YEAR: The Kent Washington Association of Realtors has named Rebecca M. Moniz, broker/manager of Young Realty Inc., in North Kingstown, as its Realtor of the Year.
She was honored at the KWAOR annual meeting and recognition night on Sept. 11. She has been a Realtor member since 1985, and was the association’s president in 2006. She has served on its board of directors since 2002, as a member of the executive committee, as treasurer in 2004, president-elect in 2005 and as the association’s immediate past president last year.
Moniz has served on and chaired many committees for the Kent Washington Association, including professional development, bylaws, equal opportunity/cultural diversity/affordable housing, golf tournament, education, finance, strategic planning, nominating and personnel.
She has also served on the Rhode Island Association of Realtors Executive Committee, was a member and vice chair of the legislation/government affairs committee, has been a member of the education committee and currently serves as its chair. She has also worked on the affordable housing task force.
Moniz is one of five nominees for 2008 Rhode Island State Realtor of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Rhode Island Association’s annual installation of officers and directors on Oct. 30.
